I do believe that if education was tailored around students and their cultural and personal preferences it could cause many difficulties. Firstly, if every student was to be taught differently then you could say that each student could have been taught not only differently i.e in the way that they are taught, but they would all learn different information. Therefore problems that could occur would be things such as the exam board and their boundaries for the marks would have to change every year. How would you grade them? In addition, if the education system and what it teaches the students were to change every year how as a country, and globally could you progress through education?
I think there are many different negatives that could happen if you were to change the actual information that was educated to students, however as Prensky states, he thinks that 'learning new ways to do old stuff' would be beneficial. Technology is forever up dating, e.g. the type writer - the computer etc. therefore incorporating such modern technologies into education could be beneficial. What do you think?
